What is trauma informed coaching?
Trauma informed coaching is a process that allows healing through creating a partnership; one that validates your experience while gently guiding you toward rediscovering your courage and strength. It is a process that restores hope. Trauma informed coaching works from a perspective that acknowledges the harm you have suffered to help you heal and move forward.
Why does intimate betrayal feel so devastating?
Intimate betrayal is an attachment injury that impacts us at the core of our being like nothing else. After discovering your significant other’s double life, you may feel like your world has been turned upside down. You may feel cut off from your partner, from friends and family, and even from yourself.
Our emotions can feel like a roller coaster of extremes as we rise into anger and rage - and then, fall into sadness, despair and grief. These are normal and expected reactions to the fracturing and breaking apart of our most intimate relationships. You don’t have to be stuck in this forever. There is a way out.
Trauma survivors are able to move into thriving with safe individuals and communities who allow you to create relational connection and are equipped to support you in your healing.
As a trauma informed coach I understand the multi-dimensional impact of betrayal and work with you in a holistic way, pulling in different theories, modalities and approaches that will help move you forward. I will walk by your side as you discover how to create safety and self-care through developing effective boundaries, strengthening your voice, learning how to address triggers and more. I partner with you so you can go from merely surviving into thriving.
Safety and choice are keys to moving out of trauma. Trauma informed partner coaching is a safe place to help you explore choices and to own your power. We will work together to help you find you again and to learn to trust yourself, maybe for the first time.
